The kitchen, the nucleus of family life at home.

Gray kitchen open with peninsula and shelving.

The design of this single-story detached home responds, both in essence and form, to the privileged context in which it is situated: a river valley where nature, invigorated by a humid temperate climate, remains green and lush throughout the year. Its clean and simple structure, built almost exclusively with glass, wood, and aluminum, seeks to establish a vibrant connection between the interior and exterior. The glass walls, extending up to the vaulted ceiling, create a bright and serene atmosphere where panoramic views encourage forgetting the boundaries imposed by the building to favor total immersion in the landscape.

The gray, open kitchen shares a spacious and airy environment with the dining and reading areas, constituting the core around which family life revolves during the day. The sleek lines of the furniture contribute to its full integration into an open and versatile space. Preparation, washing, and cooking tasks converge on a large peninsula that, running parallel to the dining area, functions as a transitional element between work and leisure areas.

Aesthetic and functionality

The Emperador Marble laminate surface of the peninsula, with its temperamental elegance, adds a special relief to the ensemble. The linear handle, with a stylized and practical design, facilitates the opening and access to contents in both lower cabinets and tall cabinets.

Organized interiors

The drawers are complemented with accessories that help organize the interiors. In the upper part, the dish rack with adjustable wooden pivots securely and neatly holds dishes. In the lower part, dividers help classify pots, pans, and large utensils.

Modular shelving with dual lighting system

Shelving with a wall panel and shelves organizes and layers the available space above the surface, allowing easy access to containers, recipe books, or kitchen tools. The shelving incorporates two exclusive lighting systems. One of them, integrated into the back edge of the shelves, projects indirect decorative light onto the panel. The other, installed under the bottom shelf, provides task lighting for the work surface. The latter includes electrical outlets and a channel for kitchen accessories.

Integration, capacity, and accessibility

The columns integrate refrigerator, ovens, and wine cooler. Stackable modularity extends their capacity towards the ceiling, offering storage options for infrequently used items that would otherwise occupy valuable kitchen space. The lower areas of these cabinets are equipped with three levels of fully extendable drawers, designed to make accessing these spaces easier.
